weekend events near SC/NC coast?

i am trying to find out about weekend events near the SC/NC coast?

i read about mid-week events, but my work does not permit me to leave, so i am looking for some other 1-series owners to meet, etc.

Jim - I'm the Cape Fear area coordinator for BMW CCA, and I'm planning on organizing some events now that the weather is better. PM me and let's put something together.

There is a cars-and-coffee event every 1st Saturday at the Chili's on S. College from 9-11 or thereabouts, and it usually has a great turnout. We have a monthly BMW CCA dinner at the Panera Bread on Oleander in front of Independence Mall on the 3rd Wed. of every month at 6:30PM, open to all BMW owners whether or not you're a CCA member.

I did organize a tour up to Topsail Island last year where we caravaned to the north side and drove all the way down the island to the Beach Shop and Grill on the south end. Great beach area down that way for after lunch, etc. I'd like to do more tours to other beach areas and similar area attractions where we can enjoy a drive to and from as well as the venue itself.
