Getting some "cosmetic" work done
I am not sure what you can call me but I do not like the two-color rear bumper so I took the 1'er to a friend of mine that works at the local Chevy bodyshop and getting the rear diffuser painted in Ti Silver to match the rest of the car... Here is a pic of the prep work and will get you an updated pic tomorrow with the results. anyone else done this? I seen a lot with iCarbon diffusers on here, looks good but not my style...

I had mine painted black to match the shadowline trims. I think it looks good since my car is so dark anyway. I just never liked the matte finish. Post pics ASAP!

I should get it back tomorrow afternoon CST and I will take some pix and will post. I almost did not buy the 1'er at all because of that "black part" on the bumper. I am too OCD for it

Nice! You should look at cutting out the center part and adding a dark mesh in there and make that rear end really pop!

Good idea! that piece is kinda glued on or something I think, it would be easy to remove it but finding the right material to finish it up would be the rest of the work.

There's mesh in the front of your 1, ask the parts department how much it costs. Also, look at the front and rears of other cars. I've see some nice mesh pieces and it's possible that your opening would be small enough to use something meant for another car. I just noticed one on the front of an AMG SLK, but that would probably be pricey. All you need to do is trim it to be a bit bigger than the opening and then you could probably epoxy it in place.

I think it looks great and agree that some mesh that matches the front would look really good. Don't put some cheap wire mesh in there, but something that matches the mesh that covers the intercooler, that would look really great!

Theres a DIY on here very simple to follow. If you want to drop the mesh in there?
