We are more than ready for winter to go away at our house. It shouldn't get to 15 F in SC! My bimmer has Michelin PSS tires - high performance summer - so it stays in the garage for the rare snow event - which we just had. But when no frozen precip is around, I use it. But we haven't been putting the top down and my heat pump isn't keeping the house toasty. The boat isn't even in the water (at our dock). I hope it gets lots warmer soon (70s would be nice please).

No way. I want more snow for skiing . It helps that Seattle itself rarely get snow on the ground and never salts the roads. I don't have to swap out my summer tires for just driving around normally unless I go up to the mountains.

I agree, but I don't drive the 135 in the winter. They salt the roads too much here in Indiana, and I'd prefer to keep the car rust free. I have a 2000 Subaru Outback that I have fun with in the winter, just miss driving the BMW. I love the snow, but not when your other car is a Subaru Outback, it's great, but slow, and not fun.

RWD + Michelin PSS tires + Open differential = Reciepe for disaster.
My car does not move even with less than an inch of snow. Next winter I'm throwing on some blizzaks and hopefully will have a limited slip differential install. |

Don't we all. I'm from Texas so while it's not that bad down here as other parts of the country, since people don't know how to handle a sprinkle of water, it's horrible!

Snow= Fun
Salt= No fun I parked my car at the airport a week ago. Returned last night. Found to to be Artic White with road salt. So on the way home stopped at a self serve car wash and tried to get some of that crap off the car. Did a proper hand wash today since the temps hit the low 50's. I'm not driving it until Weds when another round of White Death returns. This winter has been hell. I never should have moved fom SoCal back to Ohio.

Been inside for a couple of days due to "snowpocalypse" in Atlanta, but she is waiting to come out to play.
