Arrow Updated Final US order sheet. 6FL (iPod/USB adaptor) now standalone option.

I'm not impressed. Nav still cannot be ordered without ZCV, and ZCV still requires ZPP. Seems like the only change was to make 6FL standalone.

BMWNA, could you please stop for just one minute and listen to your customers?

Not cool BMW! Make that NAV standalone!! Don't want comfort access, alarm or PDC.

When was this updated?

Please offer comfort access as a standalone option, or give me a key. C'mon man!

.... don't forget everything in ZPP that you might not care about. Also, replace free with around $2000-$2500. Nav is $2100 alone, but ZPP+ZCV will probably be around $4500.

My suggestions:

- Move Nav and CA over to the stand alone column.
- Add a couple more paint options - Monte Carlo Blue and Space Gray should do the trick

Still no universal garage door opener listed in ZPP?

No stand alone Nav option is BS
It's a stand alone option on every other US 1er (and the M3), WHY would the 1M be any different?

Reading the bottom of that, I also notice it says that ordering the USB/iPod requires HK and Bluetooth/BMW Assist

"639 and 688 must be ordered with 6FL or ZPP"

These Option Packages suck. They are all designed to add big $$$ to the bottom line and give many items that are not needed for the few that are.

I think you read that backwards. HK and Bluetooth require the USB adaptor (or a package that includes it)

I think it means that if you order HK or Bluetooth, then you must also order either 6FL or ZPP.

All we need now is option pricing. That will centainly make a difference on how I spec out my 1M.

It does seem strange we don't have pricing, yet. Especially considering SOP is only 1 month away.

I'm guessing the ZCV will be $3000 and ZPP $2000

And another $2000 for the remaining six standalone options.

I must be in the minority here. I actually want (and will pay for) all options except for for Sat radio and heated seats. And I'll take heated seats if I have to. My wife likes 'em

Does anybody here know how the iPod/USB adaptor works? Specifically, can I still control what's being played with my ipod or am I forced to use the car audio controls? If I'm forced to use the car audio controls, how easy it is to navigate through my albums & playlists (WITHOUT navigation - HK sound/Sat Rdaio & Heated seats are the only other options I'm ordering).

You have to use the car controls,
you have a button on the main screen (same as presets) for albums, artists...
once clicked, you have to scroll with the right knob in alphabetical order, push the knob to select.

Yea, the ipod navigation is crap when you have a lot of stuff. To scroll through a few hundred artists takes forever.

I guess I am spoiled with my Dension Ice Link Plus.

BMW adapter does not sound as good either - I think copywrite protection makes them use the analog jack for the audio signal.

I don't know if we Canadians can call ourselves lucky, but we have stand alone Nav as an option, which is what I took.

Bluetooth, BMW assist, iPod/USB integration, heated seats are all standard.

AND we don't need to take a separate package just to get access to Nav.

Who buys Nav for $2100?

Good grief! a GREAT portable nav can be had for 1/5 of that! Not to mention that Android-based phones offer it FOR FREE.

Well, you can forget all that. The new car is fitted with a turbocharged straight six. Turbocharging? In an M car? That’s like putting gravy on an ice cream.

I have Nav built in my current car (an '06, was a $2K option) and love having it built-in. Oddly, I even have a great Nav app for my iPhone4, but built-in is still easier in real-life use. First off, the screen is always going to be bigger. And you don't have to take your eyes off the road to fool with it like in a portable or hand-held. Not to mention that the portable ones are a high theft item. Never seen a built-in version ripped out of a car, but know several who have gotten windows smashed because they left their portable in plain view. I'd rather not have the anxiety of always trying to remember to take/hid a portable version.

And if you're counting on using iPhone integration/BMW Apps, the Nav is obviously essential.
