Smile BMW Performance Steering wheel

Here's a quick late-night shot of my interiour after added the BMW Performance Steering wheel. The car now has the steering wheel, BMW Performance shift knob and boot plus the BMW Performance e-brake handle & boot.

Busted out the flashes for a nicer lit shot:

I love mine. I just installed an e-brake boot with matching tricolor stitching I purchased from LeatherZ . Now I just need a matching DCT boot and I'll be set...

Looks really nice, I've been thinking about getting one. How hard was the install?

Install is really easy, even with the DCT shift paddles.

Took me less than 15 minutes - seriously....

The only "hard" part is finding the airbag release clips. But since I had done that before, I kind of knew how to angle the screwdriver. Once the airbag is off, unplug 4 wires and the steering wheel comes off with a single 16mm nut. A Torx driver is needed to move the trim/buttons over. It's held in by 3 screws.

Really nice photos- the new wheel looks great in blue.

I ha no idea how much I would enjoy the performance steering wheel upgrade until it was on the car. I enjoy it everytime I drive.

Still getting used to the feel. The wheel is also thicker than my old one (which I like). There's definitely more grip.

The beauty is that the airbags are the same!

So if this fits with the airbag and the cover than the M sport steering should work aswell. Anyone has input on that.
this one worth the coin though

I really want one of these wheels, but I've heard stories that the material gets pretty gross after awhile from the natural oils of your hands. For you, how is the wheel holding up on the long-term so far in this regard?
