Keeping Seats Looking New - Coral Red Interior

Hey guys - I recently traded my 07 335i for a 2012 135i. Both have coral red interiors. My 335i seats became so shiny and worn, the red went from being matte to a shiny bright lipstick red color as the years went by. I'd like to prevent this from happening in the 135i, which has very low miles on it as of now.

How can I keep the red leather looking matte and new? Is there a certain treatment I should use every so often? Thanks

Clean and condition 2-3 times a year depending on how often you drive.
I personally use Lexol, but once it is used up I will be switching to either of the above. My seats look and feel brand new after 18k miles.

There was recently a post about a leather cleaner/restorer/protectant. Here is the link to a video of the product:

Swissvax is a great company. Also, apparently there is a product that is from the supplier of swissvax without the huge markup. I'll have to find the thread and let you know what it is.

I also had Lexol products from my last car so I will be using them up. The cleaner isn't very strong, but the conditioner seems to do a nice job. Boston Lemon leather so it needs to cleaned often!

Any details on the other product without the huge mark up in price :-)

I'll have a look this weekend to see if I can find the thread again.

Found it. I think this is the equivalent that is sold to Swissvax.

Swissvax is the only product that truly works to remove jean stains from my red corral seats. I've tried a lot of products... but I am sold on Swissvax leather cleaner.

I might buy a bottle to see what the fuss is about once I run out of my Dodo Juice Supernatural cleaner.

The seats were cleaned in November and they need to be cleaned again -not many miles put on the car since then. #oysterlife

I was put off at first by the price of Swissvax stuff. This leather cleaner kit ran me 90 euros. But I am glad I tried their product - bc its been the only cleaner to get rid of my blue-jean color on my red coral leather seats. I would buy Swissvax again.

Your must have put quite a lot of miles on your beaut - how good/bad do the seats look? If you've got some pics, post them up as I am curious.

My seats look good. I have around 123K kms on my 135i. I'd say the driver seat is holding up well. I'd rate it 8.5 out of 10. I really don't have a close up pics of the seats. Maybe these pics will do. ?

Mine are like this. I almost think it's a bit excessive wear. 37,124 km. Not pictured is the bolster which is a bit damaged. :/

I used Mothers foam cleaner and a soft brush and the results were very good. The jeans stains did come out too. I followed up with their leather conditioner which smells good and doesn't leave a greasy Film.
