Sounds like an insurance claim should cover it.

Did you pay that much for those wheels? That price sounds very high for two wheels. I'm sure you could do better.

I would have called the police... and tried to press charges in regards to J walking. I would have done anything to avoid that.

While just hitting him would be less than humanitarian, there is a Darwinian argument that it's for the greater good. Of course, bodywork would have been even more expensive. Oh well.

Feel good that you had the reflexes, good judgment, and a good handling car to avoid this bozo. Sometimes we get unlucky and it was your turn. Not like you had a choice.

Look in our for sale section. You can get a full set of wheels and tires for not much more. That's the route I would take.. or just get a set of aftermarket tires and wheels.

I would make an opportunity out of the event and buy all new wheels and tires. Different wheels would make your car more personalized. Four years ago I bought wheels and tires from Tire Rack for my Z4, the package cost $1700.00 to my door ready to install on the car. The wheel and tire set up I had made my car look great. It was money well spent. I am going to get wheels and tires for my 135i soon.

if your tires are ok, then just wheels, right? BMW performance wheels aren't more expensive for 4 than what you are looking for to replace 2. Check Dan at United, he has them cheap.

Could also sell your 2 good rims to someone in the for sale section I'm sure. Insurance should pay for the replacemnt.
