Metal Bracket

I recently replaced the head gasket on my N51 and vant for them life of me figure out where this bracket goes. Any help appreciated.

head gasket or valve cover gasket?

anyways, i think it's the o2 sensor bracket 11787556615. kinda by your secondary air pump valve thingy.

Ah Ok, so it seems to be some sort of heat shield for the sensor. This could explain the new fluctuation in the idle.

It was a head gasket replacement. It seems that this bracket was attached to the exhaust manifold. It fell off my table which is why it went unnoticed until now.
