Lighter socket in center console?

I have a 330xi that just went into production.

Is there a lighter socket in the center console that I can use to power my cell phone that I'll keep there?

Thanks!

Two, in fact. One in the ashtray/sunglass holder below the radio.

And another in the console between the seats.

Because you have Bluetooth (comes wth the premium package), if you have a Bluetooth compatible phone, you may want to do what I do and charge it in the ashtray. That way, the car's bluetooth can synch up with it. Reception inside the console isn't as good.

Be aware that the 12v outlet in the ashtray area and the center console are not powered when the car is off. You need to get the adapter for the flashlight if you want to charge you phone in the car while you are away.

In the U.S. you cannot remove the smokers pack. We all smoke. It's the law.

Yeah, but you're in Phoenix where the Gestapo will lock you up if you smoke.

You guys are comical. Did anyone ever figure out why the US didnt come with rear passenger 12V sockets?

Yes, it was BMW NA. It's seems they felt it was a bit too much as Americans don't smoke nearly as much as they do in Germany... Which is true, they have Cigarette machines on just about every street corner.

Guess they didnt consider that Americans waste extravagent amounts of money on various toys for their children which are usually 12V powered....

If you figure you got two kids, the wife, and you going on a road trip, the one kid will have his DVD player and the other a PSP and then you are stuck without a power socket for your radar!

Its worse in my case since I installed my spetacle tray!
