guess it looks better in person than in pictures
believe me I'm far from tacky, and this actually looks pretty cool in person. Is it a 3D design lip? NO. But it does the work of adding a small touch to our bumpers. guess its more appreciated in person.

well for one it looks like the ends are sawed off, does not flow into the bumper or wrap around the sides

Sorry, but I couldn't appreciate that after polishing off a bottle of Bacardi There's a whole big after-market world out there, if you're not happy with your car's apperance, pay the money to get something professional put on, otherwise leave it alone!! I'm actually embarrassed for your 1er, it's like the kinda cool kid at school whose parents dress him funny lol.

I'm sure it looks worse in person as you could see more obviously it's not made for the car. You probably just have friends that don't want to hurt your feelings, that's the beauty of a message board, we don't care about your feelings LOL

I can appreciate what you are going for, but I don't think you've pulled if off.
I think it's those little spaces on each side of the central inlet that bother me. You can see right through them to the street below and makes the splitter looks tacked on. It's hard because the lower edge of the bumper isn't straight across (something that give the car character, IMO). I'd say a whole new front bumper is needed to make a full splitter look good. Don't forget, however, that this is YOUR CAR! You get to do whatever you like with it.
