Poor Audi. They can never catch a break in a comparison unless it involves the R8.

As much as I would like Porsches, they are totally impractical for me to own. I wouldn't like to worry that much about my car parked 'outside' (anywhere I go, I mean). BMW is the perfect car because it blends sportiness and restraiment. All things considered, and taking into account that little detail (being a driver means also parking the car), the perfect 'driver's car' is that BS 1M being manufactured right now for me...

if you don't get a porsche in a bright color like red or yellow i think it is def. DDable if you don't need the space.

I actually don't want to park my VO 1M at the train station everyday and am looking to "upgrade" from my current DD (GTI) and have been looking at S4s, Cayman S, and some trucks.

Really the 1M was just made to keep us happy. As Clarkson put it "Its sole purpose is only to be fun".

Doesn't really matter as it nearly impossible to get a 1M.

My friend has been calling dealers all over the US for weeks, with no luck.

Is it a real challenge front lip or just the challenge style (replica) front lip!!! Just wondering why price is so low!!! A little skeptical right now but if it's real I'll take it

The 1M was chosen over the Cayman R for two reasons: price and four seats. As much of a fan of the 1M as I am, that doesn't constitute a win in my book.

Lol, this debate will never end. The way I see it is that figuratively speaking the 1M is a Labrador and the Cayman R is a Doberman. If you want a dog that does pretty much everything then buy the Lab (1M) but if you really want a muscular purpose built machine for that one day out of the month then you know which one you should buy.

I hear you. How should we put it?

It is like the ugly duckling (the 1) walked into a plastic surgeon's office, hoping to walk out of there a beautiful swan, only ended up filing a malpractice complaint.

OK, it is still the most fun loving and accommodating duckling.

Hey, if they had a category for worst looking the rs3 would win hands down. I think its a joke that they even compare hatchbacks to real sports cars. To me looks are very important when buying a sports car and hatchbacks are disgusting.

Even the 1M may not be called a sports car, in that sense I agree this comparison of the three is strange.
