Green magic

I tried searching for this stuff to see if it has been discussed in this forum but came up empty.

Anybody ever tried it, heard anything about it? I found a place that sells it and was curious about what y'all might have to say.

I've never heard of that in particular. However, companies like Optimum and Duragloss make similar products. I've used Optimum's version and found it good.

are you trying to be environmentally friendly? I only use Swissvax on my Ultimate Driving Machine.

not at all. I guess I was just surprised that you can actually achieve a "clean finish" with an all natural cleaner.

There are a ton of waterless wash products on the market that are great if you live in an apartment complex with no access to water. I personally would not use a waterless wash unless I had no other choice. And I certainly would not be wiping the car the way they do in the video. Although these new terms like "polymers" are thrown in to make these products seem a lot more than they are, you can still marr and swirl your paint if you do not handle your towel properly. A technique called "rolling" your towel will help prevent dragging of any dirt particles across your paint. Roll the leading edge up as you swipe across a panel to lift the dirt off and away from the paint.

On the upside of waterless washes is it takes a lot less time to go over an entire car. I've done it a handful of times and can finish a sedan in about 45 minutes. You will need 10+ towels. Try also looking up the Gary Dean method. I prefer this over waterless washes as it is much more lubricating.

I have a friend back home who uses it. He seems to be happy with it. Idk if its because he's a penny pincher or because it does a good job; nonetheless, he's satisfied.

I use Optimum no rinse wash and shine all the time. As long as you use a bucket with a grit gard and a quality wash mit with a micro fiber drying towel it works great.

If you're limited on water, go with ONR (Optimum No Rinse). Requires only a couple of gallons to do the trick.
