Thanks for the alert
I did notice the 1:41.89 and am pleasantly surprised that one is already up and running

MB in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane have a dark grey / Silver wheels / alum trim available for delivery end of January. CLA45 Retail of $95K drive away. Discount for corporate customers of approx. $2.5K. Was offered this today but salesman did say it would probably be sold by the end of today. Lovely car ..... I'm impressed and I think BMW will have job and a half commanding anything over $90K for a similarly speced M235i. Yes .... I know we are talking coupe compared to 4 door but then ...

Saw an E400 coupe there as well. Can I tell you at A$139K drive away, I think anyone thinking about a 435i should go take a look first.

Said we couldn't get one delivered till at least July next year!

For those who are as hectic as me and are seriously considering a CLA 45AMG or its underage sister the A45. Try and talk to many MB dealers as you can, playing them against one another, i did as a non corporate customer and i got the best price anyone could ever receive (only because a lot of dealers didn't believe me). The CLA 45AMG i am ordering is Mountain Grey, with the only option of black 19's and red seatbelt deletion. Driveaway was $96,700 (MB sydney was off at over 98k, strange dealership). What most dealers provided was bit over 94k (corporate pricing for non corporate customer) and i still tried my luck with out of Sydney dealers and i hit a winner.

The price that every dealer wanted to know which dealer provided lol, i have been sworn to secrecy to not tell any dealer. Anyway, i am about to put my order in tomorrow when paperwork is sent to me. After all is signed and deposit is payed i can inform those who are interested. Apparently i am lucky to be getting an allocation for March/April delivery...farkin wait and a half.

Hectic, you aren't interested in a 235i? Need 4 doors maybe? The 2s will be in Aus in March or thereabouts.

Just simply fell in love with the CLA45, the added benefit being it does have 4 doors, even though the rear seats are slightly redundant. Its still good enough for guys no taller then 5,11, just found the coupe like look a beaut, picture never did justice, looks aggressively beautiful in person imo.

The so called 'leaked' images of the M235 did nothing for me and after having gone through 2 BMW's not including the X5 i want a bit of a change. The X5 will still stay though, so i'll still be a bimmer guy.

I was offered the 2.5k cooperate deal. They had a cancelation this morning on one arriving late December / early Jan and pushed the next guy in line up. However, his was coming in end Jan apparently so that one was up for grabs. Other than that one, delivery would have been July

Like Hectic has said, pictures don't do this car justice. It's the real deal. I'm looking to get into a new car late next year so I'll look at the M235i when it arrives but..... Comparing the two, I think the M235i is looking poor and it hasn't even been released yet. I'm predicting BMW will price it to undercut the CLA45 big time. BMW are stuck between a rock and a hard place. They really need to release a fully optioned M2 version for $95K drive away but that will piss off all the current 1M owners.

Why would M2 pricing upset 1M owners?

CLA45 AMG is a game changer. BMW could command the price asked for the 1M at the time it was released because it didn't have any competition. Clearly MB have caught up and have a lot to offer head to head. The 1M is still a great car but you to give credit where credit is due.

Can't verify, but I thought the M135 hatch selling DA for sub $70K. If thats the case - hard to see a premium of $30K for the coupe. Especially with the CLA45 pricing where it is. Time will tell I guess....

Congrats Hectic. Amazing car for the money. A friend just sold his 335 and got one in white.

AHHHHH YEAHHH!!!!! Can't wait for a few late night runs after ball training. If we're lucky we may get the old man to come in the RS5.
