As with any mod; It will not void a warranty unless it can be proven that it was the cause of a failure of a covered part.

It all depends on the dealership and your advisor. I had a Mitsushitsu foreman tell me my A/C compressor was not under warranty because I was running TEIN coilovers. Yeah. That helped keep his job. Legally, the dealership must prove (and provide documentation) that the spacers caused the defect to whatever warranty work they are declining to provide to you. Which is completely impossible. All the spacers will do is widen the track of the car. They are harmless and provide both cosmetic and traction improvement.

I have yet to see a dealership void a warranty for running spacers. Simply stick with a reputable brand (like Macht Schnell) and everything will be fine.

This all depends on suspension height and current wheel/tire setup, which adds all sorts of variables.

We have a DIY listed in the M3 forum, this will apply to the 1er as well.

Who has done this, and what:
1. Tires are you running, size etc.
2. Thickness of spacers front and rear.
3. Vehicle do you drive.
4. Any rubbing or bottoming out.

I wanna do this, but want to get the widest I can without rubbing.

I have had Discount Tire refuse to re-mount my wheels after getting new tires because of my spacers. Some sort of new "policy". Geez.
