BMW 135i color question
Hello guys,
I from Colombia, New to forum, I want to share with you some pics of my new E82. I bought it BSM 1 month ago. Bought that color cause was the only color available. I'm very obsessed with car detailing ( Sorry, my English it's not so good) The thing it's that I'm tired of detail, polish, etc etc every week and it's seems that this color get scratched just seen it!! I went to Bmw to find out about how to deal with it. The told me that BSM it's like that, nothing to do about it. They gave the option of change the color. Price was not ridiculous and they assure me that the result will be just as changing the car for a new one. here in Colombia car depreciate a lot, my car it's only 15 miles !! So sell it and buying a new one will cost here like 20k addition. Im thinking about changing the color ....AW with the roof black Matt. Please I'll appreciate your thoughts about it, comments, other suggestions. Some mods: - Performane front bumper - Performance rear diff - Strut Brace - Power Kit - Performance Wheels - Performance Breaks - Perf steering wheel - Perf Exhaust Sorry for the crappy pics , I will put better ones Last edited by Jerrycarciente; 05-01-2012 at 07:58 PM.. |

Don't waste your time and money changing the color. Dark colors will show more scratches but quality products and care can remove them and keep the car looking beautiful. Check out the detailing section on this forum for detailed advice and results.

Only change the color to something unique such as Fire Orange or Laguna Seca Blue. Don't do the regular white or orange, it would be pointless.

Do not sell
You will loose too much money. Find a good 12, 13, 14 or 15year old kid and pay him to wash your car every second week. When he gets his driving licence, let him drive the car with you on a very quiet road maybe once a month. You will have a friend for life. Ever see the movie "Grand Torino"?

Keep black! Just live with the detailing and know next time you want a new car to get another color Black is a classy color that only takes a little bit of extra work to make it look reaaaal good.

I agree with everyone saying keep the BSM. The switch is not worth it. I have AW and love it but I love the BSM as well. It's stunning when clean and shiny. Yeah, it takes effort to keep it looking that way but it's not worth another $20 thousand to save some effort. Just be careful with it because dark metallic paints show light scratches easily and you can get swirl marks if it's not washed and waxed properly. I wouldn't let some kid wash it for me.
