Stripping e92 m3 for parts

Hello all,

There is a local e92 m3 doner car that has parts for sale. I am looking to get as many parts as I can to swap onto my 135i (pretty much same as your 335i's)

I have done lots of searching but I am getting confused, so I hope this thread could help straighten things out for me.

My question for you gurus is - what is the full list of parts I could retro fit onto my car?

So far my list is as follows:

- x2 front control arms (aka upper control arms? aka wishbones?)
- x2 front tension rods (aka lower control arms?)
- front headlight regulation rod (is this necessary if i have adaptive headlights coded out?)

- x4 rear subframe bushings
- x2 upper control arm
- x2 guide arm (aka ____?)
- x2 camber link (aka ____?)

- from another thread:
1x BMW Control Arm Rear Right Upper (1M M3) - TRW 33322283546 $94.95
1x BMW Control Arm Rear Left Upper (1M M3) - TRW 33322283545 $94.95
1x BMW Control Arm Rear Right Upper (1M M3) - TRW 33322283548 $134.95
1x BMW Control Arm Rear Left Upper (1M M3) - TRW 33322283547 $134.95
^^^ could someone explain those please? Looks duplicate to me???
- NO lower rear control arms, as this involves more other m3 parts, correct?

I will not be installing m3 front and rear swaybars as of yet as advised in many threads until I get LSD.

List from another thread:

-----

31102283575 - LEFT tension strut WITH RUBBER MOUNTING – 1

You can also install the M3 steering rack without any issues IIRC.

Everything looks good. You might as well grab the headlight rod thing. Also, if he is selling the Diff you should just buy that.

Doesn't the diff require you to replace the entire rear end? ie suspension, brakes, etc?

is the m3 steering rack a direct swap for the 135i? Someone did it to their 2007 335i here with no problems: http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?p=313386

So it will work with 135i/128i?

No you just need the diff, drive shaft and side shaft. And you have to shorted the drive shaft with a cople inch. Just search for it. I have done it on my 135i 😎

If you have active steering it works. You just need to code out the active steering after. If you don't have active steering I think the lower steering shaft is different. It swapped into my car though. 09 135i.
