128i Halogen to HID - need guidance
Wife has a 2010 128i and it as standard halogen bulbs and we want to upgrade to HIDs, we do alot of early morning driving to work in the dark..
Heres my issue, I have tried many hid kits off ebay and they are never reliable. It was on a gm where they use a pulse width modulation signal to run th low beams as drls, also vehicle entry used the low beams. The issue was even with a special box to fix the problem, relays...etc most of the time only one bulb would come on and I would have to turn the lights on and off to get both to come on. I dont want to spend one penny if this is going to be a problem, they need to work like OEM. Whats out there? I saw these as plug and play http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEPO-V2-08-1...4287c6&vxp=mtr |

i think rsr552 is saying get the LCI updated head lights. They are OEM and would work without any error codes. BMW usually sells a retrofit kit that includes everything you need to update your lights.

I think what he means by retrofit is to open up your headlights and retrofit a pair of projectors in there, along with halos if you want them.
I retrofitted mine, here is how they came out: Much better output than any OEM headlights by BMW.
