Sasha (on point Dyno) is local to me, in fact the company i work for wrapped his trailer and did his business cards. There's a whole long thread on the frs forum where people can't believe the gains he's making using an uprev.

All I want is a way to open source the oem computer so I can pay him to tune it. He isn't cheap. I'm sure the evolve or aa products are great, but a custom tune is more what I would be interested in.

Ps: I have bbs rx204 17x8 et38 square wheels on my 128i (since you mentioned the wheel analogy)

What experience does he have with BMW? Also, remote dyno tuning is just as good as an in person tune.

Sasha also has his 350Z which made 376whp N/A and I think it's at 400whp now.
