Have you explored the M-factory LSD option? Seems like the new affordable de-facto standard out there ...
Having said that, I hunted down a pristine 3.46 Final Drive large pumpkin housing at a recycler in Florida for $500, got it converted to a Quaife by HP Autowerks in California (4 hours of labor). Then got the whole LSD Quaife pumpkin shipped to Quebec, Canada, and installed locally (1.5 hours of labor). Then sold my original 3.08 Final Drive Large pumpkin "open diff" to a local guy to cover some of the costs. Very happy with the results and final price tag. This all happened earlier this year, before the M factory option was available...
