I agree somewhat with i128.
I had the runcraps, and got the V12s, I found the traction to be better in all conditions BUT the steering feel which is already lacking in the 1series IMO just got MUCH worse.
Running 36-38psi front-back.

you know a very slick way of breaking in tires is to run them at a lower PSI for the first 300 miles and then bumping them up to the right PSI.
I ran mine at 30psi for about 300 miles and now up up to 36 and it's all sexy sticky

Almost 300 miles, 2 tanks of gas, hot 80f, cold 40f, rain but no snow THANK GOD!
Very quiet very nice ride.
It's like the car is now rocking comfy sneakers and going for a nice long run!
For the price you can't go wrong.

I love my V12's. One day when I make enough money, I will buy the PSS's. I'm SURE these are way better, but honestly the Hankook's kicks ass for what they are.

Hankooks, Conti's and PSS's seem to be the tires of choice around here.

On my RX-8, I rode Falken FK452s. $10 more a tire I think, but they don't last as long. Stiffer walls however.

If you think V12s are a big improvement over run craps, wait till you upgrade from those to PSSs.

I've V12 too and running in 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear (36 front and 40 psi rear).

The tire is very gripy in dry and wet condition ! I'm very happy with them ... Buuuuut ... I feel them a bit uncomfortable (vibrations from 80 to 95 and before or after nothing, very smooth and comfortable ). That the only drawback for me !

I drove a bit hard this week with them, hardly cornering on dry road and they had a perfect grip (I think equal or better than my previous Pirelli PZero in RF).

I break traction on 3rd with 225/255.....

I drive with all nannies off with these tires cause 1-3rd gear is useless with them on.

Don't get these if you have a modded n54/55.....

Like one poster said, these are good for getting your groceries.

Also good if you like sweeping your tail over to scare the guy next to you.

Will get Star Spec or PSS when these dies

Agreed. I think the Hankooks are great for the normal consumer. However, for us enthusiasts, PSS's are the way to go if you're willing to fork out 1k+ for tires.

Had the v12 and just changed to the PSS. Wow, did not disappoint. All the rave reviews were spot on. PSS is miles better than the V12 in all aspects.

I found that with the V12 once worn down a little (still well within legal limit) the grip was non existent. Was forever spinning the tires if applying moderate gas from a standstill. Driving in rain was of concern.

Bored @ work today...

time to revive an old thread! LOL

I got a set of PSS last summer, and I must say... DAY & Night! Its snowing and cold right now in Montreal Canada, so i have my winters on as we speak...

these tires are exactly what everyone was raving about; Amazing! Pilot Super Sports in every way possible are on my recommendation list. A little on pricey side, but well worth it!
