Huge? I don't think the S65 weighs that much more than an N54. Low torque? Last time I checked 300 foot pounds wasn't low. You just need to know how to use it properly. And I'm pretty sure a supercharger kit weighs more than the extra body panels.

I had a supercharger on my car for 10,000 miles and the M3 is far better without it.

If i built it for internet bragging or airstrip, supercharger would 100% be the way to go.

As far as weight goes, there is weight savings throughout the car. CF panels, stripped interior, seats, battery, sunroof delete, lightweight wheels etc. etc. Despite having the m3 parts the car weighs 100lbs less than a factory 1m and 400lbs less than an m3. Its a fantastic car and drives and handles beautifully. Balance was my main focus over power.

in a quarter mile I would probably loose to a FBO 135i, but on the track... this car will take it. It is only recently that BMW's turned into drag cars. I built this thing to embody the traditional bmw values. Again, if my goal was to make a straight line car I could have done so. I had a FBO N54 before I did the motorswap. it was fun on the street but had cooling issues on the track.
Nice. Way to keep the weight down. That would have been my biggest fear. I get that you want to keep it as a course car and for some reason you like and want to keep it N/A

Im just talking from personal experience, I have a supercharged e92 M3 and I couldnt imagine driving it without it after I put it in.

To each their own though!

Low torque compared to a FBO n54. Yeah.

absolutely. we all have different goals and expectations with our cars. My car is not a statement against a supercharged m3 by any means. It is my own car built on my own tastes for my own purposes. The car at 3250lbs with street exhaust is rather light. People overplay the "low" torque on the s65. It just needs to be wound up. It truly shines in its element. I do not think I will ever drive this car on a dragstrip but it could be fun.

I have an m4 on order so my next build may be more in your taste.

haha I could never.

The M3 is a 1 of 20 Frozen black. And ive already put too much into making it look better with all the Mode Carbon parts to pull the engine out of it and pop it into an E82

Im planning on building an e30 race car soon though! And this post just makes me want to do it even sooner lol

Couple photos for those interested in seeing it.

I do enter it in alot of shows. But it also sees the track aswell. And it sees alot of people thinking they're faster than me on the highway too lol

Pretty much a garage queen though, the 1er is the summer daily.

car looks great. I have a frozen silver m4 coming. I am keeping the 1 series forever so the new car is to compliment it. I think the pairing will be the best of both worlds.

I wouldnt pull the motor out of a 1/20 Frozen Black. Buy a crashed m3.

. The headlights were going to swap to euro LCI but after everything I decided to keep them. They are the only telling sign that my car is a us spec 135i.
