Not quite. The stock sizes are very conservative for the car. Most people run winters on a set of 4 8" et40 wheels <- I run this too.

With a wide wheel you need a higher offset - the inverse is also true, with a skinnier wheel you can get away with a lower offset.

Go search 135 wheels over at TireRack. That will give you a better idea of the width and offset combinations the car can take

Thanks, those numbers are good to know ... is your setup running close at all? or do you feel safe with 4 8"et40 wheels?

I run Dunlop Winter Sport 3D, 205/50/R17 square, on ASA A7 17x7.5" wheels. They're +40mm, which is slightly too low, but close enough. I have miles of clearance.

It's a good setup. I would definitely not stagger for winter, and I would recommend tending towards the narrow side for tires.

I'd just hit up tirerack.com and put a package together for yourself.

Thanks Freon! There might be a guy local who has a set of tires/rims off his E335i that he no longer needs

blizzak WS-70's with 500 miles on em, and some tirerack rims for $900~

I bought a set of 17” non-staggered wheels with CONTINENTAL Conti Winter Contact winter tires from tire rack for under $1000 mounted, balanced and delivered with TPMS installed. The wheels were alloy and looked good. A 135i does not deserve steel wheels. Spend a few more bucks and get some cheap alloys. The winter tires wear really fast so get square so you can rotate them.

My summers are close in front. But then again they're 245 square star specs (a tire that runs wide in the size)

My winters are fine. 225/245 setup on Dunlop winter sport D3s. And look pretty nice.

Both tire sets are on 8" et40 wheels.

How do you think these would look?

I am thinking of painting them all black too, so they don't look so odd on my white 135i...thoughts?

Could anyone chop them as is on my 135i?

he wants $900 for a set of 4, 100% tread left on the blizzak ws-70's.
