OZ David Tire Fitment Question
Hey all,
I have a 2011 128i non-sport, stock suspension. I just got a flat tire on one of my original RFTs, and I've already put 23k miles on them, so its probably about time to get new tires all around. I'm looking to replace the original wheels and RFTs, and just use the original wheels for a winter set up. The current wheel I'm looking at is the OZ David, which is now at good price, and the specs are as follows. It only comes as 18x8 on Tirerack. Size: 18x8 Offset: 40mm Backspacing: 6.10" Can you guys recommend the best tire sizes to fit this wheel (for the best look), and if any additional tweaking is needed? Car is a daily driver. Thanks in advance. |

18x18 square setup i'd go for a 245/40...maybe a 235/40 for the 128...

I don't know anything about the rear fitment, but you will need camber plates for anything wider than 225 in front. 245/35 will probably require a fender roll. 245/40 will require surgery.

With a skinny 245/35 it will fit. A fat 245 requires a bit of camber on a stock car and nothing more.

I'm running OZ ultraleggera and tirerack told me 225 front 245 rear was optimal fitment for no rubbing or any issues on stock suspension.

225/40R18 would work well all around.

Thanks everyone. I am hoping to not do any fender mods.
Greenkirby, are you running 225 front 245rear on square wheel set up? Also, would you be able to provide the exact size 225 / XX / 18 front and 245 / XX / 18 rear? Since we have similar cars and I'm looking at the same wheel brand that might be very helpful. Thanks in advance |

What we typically recommend for our VMR wheels for a rub-free fitment would be an 18x8.5 +45, 18x9.5 +50 on a 225/40, 245/35 or 255/35. Run-flats are only produced in certain sizes which is why you'll need to run a 245 rear if you want to stick with run-flats. If not, you can go to a 255/35 for a staggered. For your square 18x8, I recommend running the 225/40/18's all around.
