BMW Sunscreen not sun shade advice please.

Hello everyone,

Was wondering if anyone had pics of what the BMW "Sunscreen" for the back and rear windows? Here's what I'm talking about http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=6218

Thought it may be a nice alternative to tinting the windows. Those that own it, please offer your opinions along with the pics.

I have them, and like them a lot. The windows look like a 60% tint in the summer, then I take them out in the winter. They are a snap to put install and remove, and self fold up into a little pouch for storage.

Ask and ye shall receive. Here are photos of my car with the screens in. I think they look great, and they do help keep the overall temp in the car down, although the front is hotter than the back unless you use a sun screen as well, which I recommend.

I keep them in all the time. At first it was a little weird at night looking through the screen, but I quickly got used to it. It's not dangerous -- you can still see through it, just different.

Actually,

Could you guys comment a bit more of what it's like to look out the sunscreens? I imagine it feels like you're looking through a mesh screen.

I had the automatic ones on my 7. Its like looking through a screen door: if you focus on the screen, that is all you will see; if you focus on things on the other side of the screen you will see them just fine.

For the front sunscreen, you might want to check Bavarian Auto. I got one that looks like my heatshield in my SUV for $35 (except it says Bavarian Auto on the outside) on sale a couple weeks ago. Fits and works well.

Does anyone have positive experience with trade motion store? (on the first post).

I'm really thinking about ordering the shades from it.

Haha, I don't know anyone with more positive feedback at 1addicts than Dan @ United BMW.

Interesting - if you google United BMW - there's 2 different sites

unitedbmwonline.com

or

trademotion.com

which one are you referring to?

Also - there's a huge price discrepancy (and I don't know why) on a Iphone Adapter (150 on one site - and 107 on the other)

Trademotion is the online shopping cart they are using. I've seen a few BMW parts dealer use them. Do a search for 'Dan United' on this forum.

Hey guys I've been reading this forum since before I bought my 135 and that was over a year ago now and I just love it here. All the information is incredibly useful and this is my first time posting =). Anyways I was curious if anyone knew if trademotion sells the sunscreen for the passenger and driver side windows and if not then where can I get them?
