To OP go get a Nissan with a NISMO package, that will satisfy your craving for more "testicular" mass aka badges and oddly styled panels. http://www.nissanusa.com/nismo/370Z/

You bought the car because of looks & performance if you are having second thought then you bought the wrong one. Should have gone to Toyota or Honda instead.

Well for me i much like the traditional sleeper! BMW has been prided of stealthy fast vehicles. I say to you you will change your mind about this when a HEMI Charger pulls up next to you and after a few quick chagnes of gears you look in your rear view mirror and see the amazement on their faces. Gets me everytime.
HAHAHA to all of em. I simply love getting the last laugh. Back in my not so proud racing days (last week just kidding I am talking decades ago) it was easy cash when you rolled up next to a car and they just knew they had you beat. Only they really didnt by like two car lengths. One always needed beer money. |

Comparing apples to rhinos but it was a great little track beast that has absolutely zero practical purpose on the street. I've never been, nor do I think I ever will be, in a better handling car. You could turn at virtually any speed and it felt like you were bolted to the road. Power-wise, the 135i was significantly faster but definitely suffered in the handling department. You get a lot of looks and interesting responses to it being a 4cyl but the fiberglass exterior is beyond fragile and I felt like I could be snuffed out by some 4'9" soccer mom in an Escalade at any moment. I loved the Exige while I had it but I can't really say that I miss it.

My S4 seemed overly tame and quiet when I bought it so I slapped on an AWE exhaust and now it sounds like a fucking monster.

You can sleep easy. I would take the 1er again in a heartbeat. I would still be driving it if I didn't have a little one on the way.

I think a BMW/Euro enthusiast can tell the difference, because we're used to picking up on subtle changes to bumpers and such with these cars. But I argue that the general public (in which the OP seems to want to notice the difference) would look at three pictures of 1ers or see one in public and say they're the same car. Only lining them up side-by-side for them to analyze would allow them to see any notable differences, IMO. I mean, the biggest change within any BMW series is a non-M to a M. They flare arches, add wheels, stance, hoods, etc...yet I've been asked is my E46 325ci was a M3 too often, if the ladies E90 328xi was a M3 (really? with 4x4 status you still think it's a M3?)....I think we've all had this experience with the general, non-enthusiast public sector and if they can't detect the difference of M to non-M...then 135/128 is lesser of a gap.

Thanks King. I know I am definitely keeping her, the grass is always greener on the other side... I love great-handling cars, which is why I was debating that one for such a long time. It just looks amazing, until someone tries to sit in it. |
