My best photo

Well, I believe I have captured my best photo. I am so proud of how much I am improving.
Thanks to everyone who has helped me through critique, praise, and encouragement. I will post more later, but I just couldn't wait to post this one.

Nice colors in the sky. The car is pretty much perfect, no reflection or hot spots, a little blown on the rear 3/4 panel but thats okay.

My only complaint is the shadow, it is distracting to the eye. Other then that looks great.

Thanks, are you referring to the shadow cast in front of the car?

Yeah, the left side is not so noticeable, however the the right side (front of car) is, this is mostly because you perfectly centered the car between the posts and its the only object thats out of place. It does give a sense of realism to the the photo but IMO without the shadow you have a nearly perfect shot. Not trying to take anything away just being nit picky you did a great job Nikki.

no it's great when someone can help me like you do, thanks. how does this look? i am kind of eh about the rear spot you mentioned which I did notice before, but hey what can you do. i don't think it distracts too much, it just bothers me a little.

Yeah, I'm not sure about the shadow thing either. I could have done a better job fixing it though. I saved the psd file so I can work on it later if I want.

Indeed a great shot Nikky....I gather you had full sun where you were shooting, and clouds on the horizon? That's what it looks like....

I'm with diesel on the shadow, however, it distracts a bit, since everything else in the foreground is so clean brilliant, light-wise.

Actually it was almost pitch black out. I used I believe a 4" shutter to absorb the light from the surrounding parking lamps.

Thanks, there are some other photos from the sunset, but none as good as that one. Here is another shot from that set and a few from in the garage. The last one is just of the buildings. Btw, these were taken at my school, Florida Atlantic University.

Man nice photos!!! Wish I could take pics like that. But I gave it a shot at trying to eliminate the front portion of the shadow. Not very good at photochopping but this is what I ended with.
