ED Warning triangle question

My car showed up yesterday in Houston from my ED (dropped it off at Munich airport drop-off July 8th for reference). I made sure to take my warning triangle and first aid kit home with me, but it looks like somewhere along the line the actual mounting bracket for the triangle (on the inside of the trunk lid) was removed and the mounting holes capped off. Is this normal, and does anyone have part numbers for the bracket, screws, etc. to mount the triangle?

I called my dealer, who told me those parts aren't available and I would have to buy a new warning triangle, which I find hard to believe.

Try LeatherZ.com. They sell the triangle kit (the link connects to it) and perhaps could be a source for the mounting hardware.

I know you can order the triangle and mounting hardware from this site:

http://leatherz.com/Merchant5/mercha...ode=E82_Safety

I'm not sure if they would be willing to sell just the mounting hardware, but it's worth asking. When I did my Euro Delivery, I ended up taking the mounting brackets with me as well.

I found and ordered the brackets. Got the part numbers at RealOEM and did a google search. Ordered from BMW of Atlanta, very easy and pleasant to deal with.

Part numbers:

Bracket. 51497167548
Nut. 07146976114

Need two of each.

My brackets were still on the car when it was redelivered.

My car came back from ED with brackets still there, but I also did PCD.

I went by BMW North today, they told me another VO 1M was delivered there this week

I'd find it very strange that they did that. Wondering if there was damage in shipment, and the trunk was replaced? Probably not, unless there was some delay in shipment that you noticed.

It was on the Nurburgring Nordschleife fewer than 24 hours after I picked it up at the Welt...so yeah!

That's strange. They did not remove warning trangle holder from my car. After picking-up the car I put the triangle back in.

Very weird they would do that, it takes effort too, so don't see the rationale for them removing it. Hope mine comes in tact, after all took the trouble of taking my triangle and FA kit in the luggage, hopefully for a reason! I ended up leaving a note on the dash that a fellow Canadian member had posted earlier, so hoping all vignettes, rear plate, etc. stay in tact, hopefully someone will read it! LOL

Weird... they left mine alone as well.

However, I am 99% sure I left my CD case in the car when dropped it off and I have no more CDs.
