Got my first REAL compliment on the car
After like 6 months. Today when i was leaving a "business meeting" (which im very excited about, but thats another story). I walk out and this older guy is pacing circles around my car. He asked if it was mine and told me how nice it was, wanted to know if i changed the whole front bumper or what. i explained to him i just added the carbon fiber lips. he said he has 2 bmws. there was a 750 in the parking lot,but i dont THINK it was his. i got the idea he has some older ones. who knows. real nice dude. i woulda stayed and talked to him longer, and im sure he would asked me silly questions for hours, but i was already late for work. But it was nice to have someone really interested in the ride. reminds me of the good old times with my last car.

i haven't had that experience from strangers, yet. only people i know, and you can't never tell whether they're just being courteous or really interested...

My best one was a female Military SP stopping me at the base gate and said all nice-like "You got a real nice car, dont cha..."
I said "yeah" all bashful-like.

I find that the ladies melt when you go on a date and pick them up in the e90 (happened twice in less than a month of ownership). Of course 95% of So. Cal women only care about $$. But I guess thats ok cause all I care about is

I found I got a lot more compliments from strangers with my last car ('04 G35 sedan) than with my current '06 330i. Perhaps it was the color (midnight blue versus Titanium Silver)
Good thing I didn't buy it to impress others, I guess. |

I get compliments all the time, from dudes giving the thumbs up to young girls blowing kisses my way...I would say this car attracts as much attention as my Blue/White Suzuki Gsx-R does...But when I meet a girl for the first time and she asks what kinda car I drive I still tell them that I drive a 91 civic...But when I pick em up in the E90 their facial expression is priceless...

Physical nourishment is not sufficient for a healthy life; man also has spiritual needs. Compliments are endless when your rolling in a winner...

My wife's red C230 draws more compliments than my SG 330i. But the uninformed public comments on the Mercedes, enthusiasts comment on the 330i. |
