Ring trip this weekend? Who is going.
It sounds like a few of us (Rick, Gabe, myself) are heading to the ring this weekend. Anybody else thinking of going? Do we want to do Saturday or Sunday?

I'm leaving HD 0600, then rolling to be there by early am...tomorrow probably spending the night somewhere up there...bringing the dog
Gabe, want me to stop by W-baden and get you? Or meet you off the A61 near Wiesbaden at Waldlaubersheim which has an autobahn pulloff?

So what time does that put you guys at the Ring? Where are we going to meet?
Yeah the rain today sucked, my car is filthy now. Hopefully it will stay clear long enough tomorrow to get some laps in. I installed my down pipe today and it sounds sweet! I didn't expect that much difference with stock exhaust and a catted down pipe. I've done a bit of spirited driving and no cel light so far, tomorrow will be a good break in for it.

Wish I could have made it today but I had a previous commitment: last night a group of us went for a ride on the Bier Bike, then met up with more friends at a pub.
I'm thinking of heading up Sunday if anyone else is keen on going.

So jealous of you guys. I'm here at work dying of heat and you are tearing up the track or are finished now.

So I met up around 8:15 am with Wade & Rick and Justin on the parking lot.
Due to a severe motorbike crash (chopper was called in ) the track closed for one hour at 9 am untill 10. I'd just finished my laps when everybody had to clear off the track. When the guys came back from their second lap the roundabout/square was totally jammed so it took a while to get in&out.... isn't that so Rick ? I left them @ 10:30 am but it was fun and I didn't sc§£w up at Adenauer Frost like a few times in the past C U ALL next time! So I finally earned my Nubergring sticker! Driving that track was awesome but I'll admit that it can be scary as hell. There was a lot of traffic so being trapped in the middle of it while still trying concentrate on your line was intense. My 135 performed great without a bit of protest.
As an unexpected bonus the Renault world series race was going on at the GP track and it was free! So we got to catch a good portion of the race and check out the pits. Special thanks to Justin for running a slow lap so I could follow and learn the course. And thanks to both Rick and Justin for helping with the intake install! It was good to see everybody.....lets do it again! Wade

Sounds like you all had a great time. Wish I could have made it. Next time! Also glad to see Rick did not have his arm up on the door!
Tomorrow, I'll be in Nurnberg for the DTM race! Justin are we still on? Anyone else wanna join us? Just hit me up on my handy. DTM...

Back home...another great road trip with 1Addicts in Europe! Lots of beautiful cars running the ring, including about 6 other 1Ms...tons of Porsches, 2 BMW 3 GTSs, probably 4-5 Nissan GT-Rs, couple of Artegas and a couple of Ferrari plus a slew of other sweet rides. Even a frigging tour bus....
I'll post some photos tonight.... Photos of the day from track photographers can be found at: http://ross219uk.zenfolio.com/p439966114 or: http://touribilder.de/galerie/thumbnails.php?album=47 or: http://www.racetracker.de/event/show...ife_30.06.2012

some happy snaps
enjoy...
And we were glad to help Wade lose his "ringinity"..... Ezeedee...I took the photo of the white M3 with blue rims just for you The black M3 was amazingly fast and loud...definitely some secrets under the hood. Last but not least is JK135...looking cool under pressure as always and sporting that "Cindy Crawford" beauty mark on his front bumper...styling!

That's not an Expedition, it's an Excursion! The largest SUV Ford ever made. A rare sighting of a vehicle no longer made & highly sought after by Mormon & Traditional Catholic families, Texas ranchers, and Dallas soccer moms.

Yep, it was good times.
- I think I saw one of those M3 GTSs get passed by an Integra but still pretty crazy to see two of them in the same place. - Skirt and boots...always worth a - I wonder if they could get that bus to drift? - my car did a better job than I of earning that sticker....EFF! When did I get that many gray hairs coming in? - very cool shot at the test center - and yes that M3 was a friggin beast. Super fast through pflanzgarten, lots of talent driving that thing.
