1M Tow Hook License Plate Bracket Mount?

Hello:

I just delivered a 1M to a customer and was wondering if anyone knew of a front license plate bracket mount that worked through the tow hook mount. Please let me know!

Thanks!

Or this from Bavarian Autosport:

CP-E Front License Plate Bracket

Just installed my cp-e front plate bracket last week. It's very beefy, follows the lines of the bumper, fits perfectly, and works great!

Thank goodness I live in a province that doesn't require front plates.

DOESN'T FIT

Just tried to install the Bavarian Autosport unit listed below.
It doesn't fit. The tow hook bolt is about 1 1/2 inches too short.

I called their parts department and their is no existing fix for this.

I'm returning it today and ordering the Platypus.

Anyone know if the one made by GoMiniGo for the 1Series fits the 1M? I had one on my 135 and kept it when the car was sold. Thanks.

So I'm in a state that requires front plate and have a 1M on order. I'm guessing it would be wise to tell the dealer now to not mount front plate so I can get a bracket like this?

Um, that's an affirmative. And remind them several times. And be there when it arrives to tell them again.

I was stressed about what to do as well but I learned something new yesterday at the dealership. All the M cars come with a Body Colored Painted front license holder, in Canada anyway. This is not bad at all, I will just tell them not to drill holes on the front of the bumper, and just drill two holes underneath the bumper instead to install the plate holder. Use double sided tape on the upper side of the holder and no holes needed!

On that CP-E tow hook bracket pictured above, is there any risk of the plate scuffing the bumper on the side that isn't supported by the tow hook? Of all the choices referenced above, the CP-E to my eye looks the cleanest ... but it's also almost twice as expensive.

Maybe letting the dealer drill a bracket in the center is fine ... it doesn't look like that would block intercooler flow too much. Decisions, decisions.

what? no, no drilling! That plate holder is reinforced, it should bend or flex to allow for bumper scuffing.

So NO to the drill!
