RB High-Flow Oil Drains - Pics
Received these today.. Here are pics..
From looking at them, not sure if I would buy them again.. however if they do the job better than what BMW has done then, i'm happy. |

Forgive my ignorance. What issue is this supposed to rectify?

So there hasn't really been any documented issues with the actual stock drainage system? Or it's just one of those precautionary things?

Rob tried to blame oil drainage, among other things, for the recent spate of smoky RB turbos.

These are designed to drain oil slightly better than oem.
But the primary thing RB was addressing was elimination of kinked oil lines, which he has both witnessed and had installers tell him about. |

Tony from Vargas pointed out that he was trying to blame the oil drain for the smokyness. And yes there is a kink in the flow of the oil drain, not that big of an issue. More preventative than anything. I don't have anything else cooling the turbos and i'll be upgrading my oil cooling so for me it was a no brainer. |
