8k Pagid Pads with New Rotors
I changed my pads about 8k miles ago. By that time the rotors were in good condition. Now the rotors need to be replaced. Don't want to waste money on new pads and new rotors.
Anybody else have installed new rotors with low mile pads? |

This is why I always change the rotors AND pads at the same time. Since you only have 8K miles on your pads... you will be ok to reuse the pads.
Are you sure the pad compound isn't too agressive on your rotors? Some pads will chew/eat up the rotor life.

Thanks!
mmmm Not sure, since I'm leaning towards the age/miles on the rotors. I'm looking at the zimmerman rotors in fcpeuro and pelican parts. If I would do pads again, no idea yet. Any recommendations for daily/street use? |

Agree with Dackelone. But given the low miles on the pads, you should still be able to get them to bed. Just follow the regular process. You'll know pretty quick if they glaze. I'd scuff up the surface of the rotors as well.
