Final Count for U.S. 1Ms?
If all 2011 MY cars destined for the USA had to be completed/produced by the end of October, shouldn't we have a final count soon? Anyone hearing anything other than the 680 or 690 number being tossed around?

This has already been covered. They're not going to release US number until next year if at all.

Bmw used to be quite open with there production numbers, BIMMER magazine would give periodic updates on those figures across the entire BMW line. It used to be broken down to specific model, like 325, 335, M3 and in sedan/coupe as well. BMW stopped doing that a few years back and now all you can get is total number of 3/5/7-series produced in any given month/quarter. Hence the need for the registry sticky!

In your case, production probably started in week 44 which is end of Oct into the beginning of Nov? You might be the last of the last for NA production.

Is that how it works? It has to be on our shores before the end of calender year? I was thinking it would have more to do with production date. I really don't know though. So hyothetically, if there was a delivery scheduled for second week of december and the boat gets delayed until Jan 1st would they not be able to sell the car?
