My engine has been acting different lately. On cold starts it coughs or jerks randomly for a couple minutes until the engine warms up. I can feel a jerk while parked and the RPM drops slightly when it jerks. If I drive it during this it jerks more as if power is interrupted. It has been happening repeatedly for multiple weeks. Thank for the help.

Maybe the HPFP is going bad? Have you done anything to the car lately? How many miles is on it?

Mine does this also. Runs perfect after a minute or two. Now a days I just let the car idle a few minutes before taking off in the mornings. If I do that, I have no problem at all.

Don't jump to it as it's $1000 just in parts, but my car did this when the injectors went bad. I changed the injectors and I was good to go. It was more pronounced during the colder months.

Are you throwing any codes?

I do not get any code. Mine only does this in the morning after sitting all night. I just got my fuel pump replaced a few months ago. I also replaced 3 of the 6 injectors. Not ruling out a bad injector but I have yet to get a misfire code.

Mine does this but I figured cleaning the injectors and a walnut blast would fix the problem

I guess I better schedule an appointment at the dealership. Is there a warranty on injectors or coil packs? I have an extended warranty (CPO).

CPO covered my injectors and plugs. I'm sure it'll cover coil packs as well.

All covered.

It's not the coils.

My car does this too, it's not much of an issue yet so I'm going to live with it until it gets bad and I can take it in under warranty. My guess is injectors since I have 3 old part numbers. Everything else has been done besides walnut blast.

Mine does this too, I just figured it needs carbon cleaning considering it has almost 74k miles and has never been done.

My HPFP and injectors have been replaced fairly recently and my car was doing this until i got a new set of oil feed lines for the turbos and i convinced them to carbon blast as well under warranty. This cleared up the whole problem its amazing how much carbon these build up over time

Mine is doing something similar I think. I would love to know what would fix this. I have new plugs.

Mine does this a little tiny bit since I've replaced my plugs with very closely gapped NGKs.
