Stoptech ST-60 Front Big Brake Kit

$2000
Located in Perth, these are very heavy so not keen to ship.

Contains:
-ST-60 calipers and mounting brackets.
-Stoptech street performance pads. Near new.
-355mm x 32mm Near new rotors. Brand new rotor rings were put on in June and only used for a few 100kms (and never on track) before I parted out the car.

Calipers have been used as intended so aren't in perfect condition but function perfectly. Will take some pictures soon.

Just wondering how the ST-60s performed when paired with the stock rear braking system. Did you notice any issues with brake bias?

Worked great, no issue with brake bias just much better all round braking performance for longer.

I had DS2500s in the rear and ended up using Endless ME20 pads on the front which were awesome on track and very civilized on the street for track pads.

You can always make more

Shipping to Sydney might be a killer though, big calipers and big rotors are heavy!

Few pics.
As you can see the discs are pretty much brand new.
Unfortunately the work shop scratched one of the calipers when taking them off No structural damage though.

Hi Nugget,

First-time user on this forum.

Can you please confirm if these brakes will fit using the standard OEM wheel rims on a 2011 135i as I only seem to find ST60 pictures with third part rims fitted.

Also, are the ST60's in your experience overkill for fast street work as I don't plan to track my car at this point i.e. do they not really get enough heat into them to work as well as the OEM brakes in traffic?

Also as I'm in Sydney have you an estimate for the postage charge using AusPost understanding the weight is an issue or would it be cheaper to arrange a courier. I understand that you may not have an answer for this question so if you can provide the weight of the components I'll work out the transport cost my end.

I have the same brakes. The spokes of my front 18x7.5 ET49 Style 264 rims just barely cleared the caliper. I was concerned about the spokes flexing under load and clipping the calipers.

So (at that time) I added a 5mm spacer to gain clearance.

Karl.

Hi mate,
There isn't a ton of room but they do fit under the stock wheels (style 261). It is close enough that I had to remove the wheel weights but after there was no problem.

No problem with using them on the street. Pad selection will make the most difference in that regard and the Stoptech pads included work well from cold, weren't noisy for me and will handle light track duties.

No idea on shipping, it will be really heavy and I'll have to find a suitable box (which will be pretty large) so won't be cheap.

Pic below is the only one I have of them under the stock wheels.
Note that this was on the previous rotor rings, which survived 2.5 years of regular track use.
New rotors have never got up to proper temps.

I don't think we ever got the style 264 in Australia, I've only ever seen 261s.
Not sure if the clearance is different but I used them together and they never touched the calipers.
