One Year Later
It was with a small start I realised it was this time last year I took a 135i coupe for a test-drive before deciding to sign on the dotted line for an S3... when I handed the keys of the demo back to the dealer and after 3 hours of wrangling I had myself a deal on a new 135i.
One year later (including the five months of feverish tracking and pestering a patient dealer) I'm loving my car as much as the day I drove it off the delivery room floor A pretty amazing year in hindsight really for lots of reasons I wont go into right here, but part of what's made it good has been the new friends I've written and spoken to on this forum. Nice work guys, you make the 1'er experience that bit more memorable and enjoyable for me! Right now I've got Gill from Tirerack pricing up some ContiSportContact3's for me which I can hopefully get delivered and fitted in the coming weeks, and probably a few more things in the pipeline if TimMc and Swift135 keep tempting me the way they are... I'm looking forward to what the next year brings and meeting more of you as I go along. cheers, Matt. |

Will let you know about final prices, I'm waiting on the quote. I guess it might differ depending on which city the product goes to. |

Let me know who's interested in new tyres and how much you can get it from Gill. I'll see if the guy down the road from my shop can match if we have a few people.
You can drive up with the run craps and back with the good stuff

I'm guessing you mean the frangipani stickers for the rear windows. Do it Matt, they'll look great!

guys- if you've got TireRack questions best you go to their website and send an enquiry direct to them instead of relying on second hand info. |

Everyone just pm me if they want new tyres in Brisbane/Sunshine Coast area. I think I can only get a better deal if we've got numbers. Doesn't need to be contis, I am sure if we get a group, you can still pick the tyres you want.

Nice one bruvva! Let us know how you get on with the Conti's. I know other's have gone that route and are happy. I'd be interested to know the landed costs as my fronts are now shagged so I need to replace all four (currently on Sportsmax's but want to change).
