Welcome dr.bmw. Great combo but the white is hard to keep clean. It just looks so good on the 1 series. What is the black patch on the side of the seat? My seats are completely red.

Nice. Congrats and welcome. BTW how bright do you find your headlight on high beam? FYI I find my xenons ok on low beam but dismal on high. I recon having working inner lamps like on you car will give far better illumination on high.

Nice choice Dr.

I never really considered the red interior, wife would have liked it though.

d3Syd, I have normal headlights also and I reckon they are crap, low and high beam.

I bought this car 4 months's old, second hand. the bloke was leaving the country because his business has wound up because of the economic situation.
Had 6k kms on it. $50K
first owner upgraded lights to xenon bulbs... i don't even bother with high beam

the thing i dislike about the xenon high beams is that when you actually want to high beam someone (e.g. on a country highway telling them to move over to the left lane so you can over take) people dont seem to take notice of them, as the lights dont actually become brighter....

Totally agree. The brightness stays the same high or low beam. Only thing that changes is a flap flips up on high to allow the beam to shine higher. Just don't know why BMW didn't wire up the inner lamps to come on to assist the outer ones when on high like most xenon equipped vehicles.

Eg my on Land Rover 2 additional lights with regular halogen globes light up in addition to the xenons with raised flaps when high beam is on. Brilliant (literally).

on the topic of low beams. Can they be adjusted? I'm finding that my low beam virtually points straight down... I have the xenons.

I vaguely remember this topic raised a while back but couldn't find it again.
