BMW Corporate Program - Servicing
Hi fellow 1addicts,
I bought my 135 on the corporate program with the 2 years 'free' servicing. Does that actually mean "FREE" or do I still need to pay for consumables such as oils, filters etc. I didnt really enquire about that bit but I would rather know now so I can start saving. I know servicing can get quite $$$$!! |

Things do get expensive once it's outside the warranty though.

This is precisely why BMW won so many awards in Wheels Gold Star Cars. The long service interval plays a big part in keeping down the costs of ownership.

Does anyone know if BMW are servicing cars on the corporate program earlier than the schedule? My car has the schedule service at 25000Km. I want to service it at 15000Km as per the current cars.
Any link to BMW technical report about the reduce Km per service interval would be handy. Just in case the BMW service department wont change my oil at 15000km. |

On iDrive it counts down i.e. it may start at 25,000 km but if you drive the car hard then it will reduce. After a track day mine went from 17,000 to 7,000 in the course of the day One way around this would be to use a BT (Bavarian Technic) cable to change the CBS numbers to a point that the system is saying it needs an oil change. Then you'd get it as part of your program. will yield more info on that product. Good luck, but changing the oil on these motors every 25K is a joke. Cheers, S |

They will not do anything that the conditioned based servicing in the car doesn't require. Ie you will be paying for any oil change prior to when the car asks for one.

Thats interesting info about the BT tool. I own one but didnt realise it can do this. I guess I have to fudge the parameters when my car gets to 15000km.
Thanks guys. |

But if your driving your N54 hard then I'd suggest an oil change before 15K. |

Comfort entry = normal battery
Non-comfort entry = rechargable battery Go figure

yeah... I wonder why they can't just use a rechargeable and you'll just have to put the key in twice a year like the other. I don't like the idea of changeable battery...

Ha, my wife did the same thing. Then she put the pants at the bottom of the ironing pile, meanwhile I thought the fob was lost and spend $650 getting a replacement
