I saw you right before you left the dealership (guy who got there with the white 1er) and I was going to say congrats but the guy was busy helping you out inside the 1m and I just didn't want to be a weirdo and talk to you.

Crongrats man! I was there when it first arrived and there the moment that left. So jelous.

So how about letting everyone know how much you ended up paying? I don't think anyone will hate on you for paying over MSRP, but I am sure everyone is curious. at least I know I am.

Yeah I heard they'll be getting a black one soon.

All said and done I paid $5K over msrp. The dealer told me I am the first one to purchase at such a low mark up price. Normally I wouldn't pay extra for a car period but I'm such a big fan of the 1M that it was absolutely worth the additional $5K. Keep in mind when I walked in they were asking me for $15K over.

Congrats! I'm sure by now you are aware that you made the right decision, specially after driving it off the lot! Happy driving and enjoy!

Congrats! You know you wouldn't have made a bad choice either way. The 1M is just a little more rare/ special given it's very limited quantities. Don't forget to check out the 1M Registry thread!

Once again congratulations! It's nice to get feedback on some of these crazy markup sales. We have a lot of sales reps on this forum that are trying to justify their own prices and state that these high markup vehicles are "going fast", and sold for the asking price etc.

It's a shame that you had to pay any markup, but this does show that even late in the game in a sellers market that pricing beyond what an M3 would cost is not in line.

Looking forward to your M3 vs 1M impressions as a person who has own both. Enjoy!!!

Oh yea the second I hit the street out the drive way I knew I didn't make a wrong decision on the car. Thank you.

Well I really like that the car is so rare. I have people telling me not to drive it too often to keep mileage down for resale purposes down the line but man this car is so awesome I don't want to leave the driving seat.

Ill be doing a nice little write up once I really get the full feel of the car. IS break in complete at 1200 miles, just like the M3?

It's at 1200 miles. Try to aviod Center BMW for service if you live in the valley. They tried to tell me that the 1M didn't have a 1200 mile service.

I'm guessing you mean the last AW at your dealer or your area because I have an AW on the ship over here as we speak. I should have it first or second week of December.

Congrats though! You made the right choice. What options does it have?

Please don't be mad when I say that the Alpine White is the best of 3 colors for this particular car. Black being the least favorite...

Forget that. I mean how much more is it going to be worth if you keep the miles off it, an extra $5k? That seems like a completely negligible amount of money to me over the course of say 2-4 years. I would rather put as many miles on it as I can having the most fun I possibility can while I have the opportunity to do so. Heck, I'll have over 2000 miles on mine in the first week alone

Congrats on getting one of the last ones available for a pretty decent price. You won't remember that mark-up in 3 years, much less a few months. I strongly feel you'll remember this car 10 years from now though!
