Do M3 Mirror glass fit 1M mirrors?

Part numbers are different, but they look the same. Anyone know if the M3 mirrors (the actual mirror portion) fit in the 1M housing?

The mirror caps are the same so maybe the glass will fit. That's my guess lol

I hope the mirror glass fits. I just ordered oem blind spot mirror glass for an m3 for my 1m mirrors. They won't be here for awhile though.

I was under the impression the m3 mirrors are bigger? However, I think its just the black triangle piece thats bigger, and not the actual mirror. But i could be completely wrong.

From my research the assembly #'s between the e90, e92, and 1M are different. I think I have read that the base, specifically the angle of the mounting bolts, are different between at least the e92 and the 1m.

Apparently, the caps are interchangeable.

E92 had an LCI revision at one point also, and the mirror and cap part numbers seem to have been effected.

For those that don't know, the other significant difference is between Din and non-Din (fold back and Dimming vs none). If you have DIN, like I do, you will find the mirror glass itself costs as much if not more then the mirror assemblies. That's why I am so desperate to try and find them used.

If anyone has tried it the info would be tremendously valuable.

I have M3 mirrors on mine. Like, actual M3 mirrors. They fit fine.

They were new, but the retrofit kit was on back order and didn't feel like waiting (I'm a BMW dealership technician). I looked up an E90 in ETK if I remember correctly.

The glass is the same, I bought some to fit my 1m mirrors and they popped in perfectly. I think the only difference are the mounting points between the 1m mirrors and the e9x series

Just installed and yes, the glass is the same. Good thing as the dimming/heated glass is super expensive but available on ebay.

In addition to the mounting points the base is also a different size on the e92 then the e82. Don't know about e90.

For me, it was $70 vs. $350. My car is already crazy tinted, so I just opted for normal glass.

It's insane, the glass is almost as much as the mirror. I got lucky and found a set for 199 on ebay. Oh well, worth it.
