Seat belt tensioner / airbag light; anybody else?

My car is in the shop again because my seat-belt and airbag lights are on in the dash. Looking at the dealers history page, I see a trend here (history below).

Has anybody else had any issues with their airbag/seatbelt warning lights coming on?

Did your car have flood damage?

What you have is not a common complaint on here IIRC.

just had the repair done---wiring under the front seats replaced ( 2 weeks out of warranty). No idea why it happened as the passenger seat ( where the original problem was) was unoccupied at the time. Not cheap to fix so hope I don't have to do it again!

This just happened to me as well. Im my situation though, I did leave the windows cracked when it was raining without noticing. So water did get in. I have both the seatbelt and airbag light on. The occupancy sensor works just fine though, when ever someone sits in the passenger seat the yellow light next to the sunroon control lights up saying the passenger airbag is off. Any insight would help gents.

Back when I owned an e36... all it would take is someone to newel on the seat(with thier knee) and it would damage the seat mat which is part of the airbag circuit. My dealer over here told me a new seat sensor was 93 euros... OR... they could solder the wires together and be done with it. Thats what they did.

Btw... I have had zero issues with the SRS system on my car.

Had a code for passenger seat belt buckle a couple times. Was just at the dealer, they replaced the roof module, the one with the sunroof switch in it.
