Aren't you worried about getting ticketed for not having your front license plates displayed?

Luckily we are not required to have a front license plate in our state, but if we were I'd stick it out and just take the ticket(s).

No rear plate either, car is 2 weeks old, no plates yet. Am not looking forward to spoiling that front view. I believe no front plate in CA is not a "fixer" anymore and is now a $300 fine!!. I'll just enjoy it as long as I can.

Hmmmm. My car is new too, and I have no plates. Yet, I still keep the Irvine BMW ones on. Can I just remove them until I get the real plates? I figured that when the police see those dealership 'plates' (advertisements), they would know my vehicle is new.

Hi Traderdad...
Snow was as as good as it can be, man-made. Haven't ski'd for about 7 years so I took it easy. I was chuffed, I didn't fall once, started off on beginner and moved up to intermediate and dodging those snowboarders was no easy task. Went to Snow Valley as it was the only place with Ski & Slides (for the kids). Not the most popular resort in the area but we had a blast (it wasn't crowded either).
About 1-inch fell the night after we skied, we didn't ski the next day, but kids had a blast just sledding on the local streets.

Man I enjoyed that drive up and down the mountain. The bimmer just stuck to the road. I'd say I braked only once or twice on the way down and only because other cars were getting too close. The only problem I had was a rattling noise from the front passenger side, sounded something like "Slow Down!!". It's fixed now!!.
DTC worked well in the snow. Car was sorta snowed in on Sunday, the other two groups we were with couldn't get out of the driveway without chains, though they did park on concrete/old snow. I was parked on grass, slapped on the DTC and with the All Season tires, just drove right out.
Got the Ice Warning a few times which was interesting, I didn't even know about it until it came on, I learn something new about this car each day.

It's all ahead of you...

Maybe it's a dealer thing, but they put the rear plate holder on and nothing on the front. I guess temproarily anything is legal as long as you are showing the temp registration sticker on back window. I sure like it without the front plate!!.

Sounds like a good time I am still waiting for a good snow storm to take the family up there. Funny thing is my car is still being built and I am sure to have that same front seat rattle .

I tried searching online for confirmation but couldn't find any, all I could find was a statement that the fine had gone up to $87. Don't know if that's true though. Seems like some areas are more particular than others, 'specially where there are a lot of red light cameras.

So let me correct my previous post...

Paddy, your car is beautiful! I think Titanium Silver is a very good color to go for. People often say that it's a color that is easy to keep clean and that you don't have to wash it often. I agree, but a very clean Titanium Silver car is better than a dirty Titanium Silver car. I especially like the two pictures where your car is very clean. It makes the color 'deeper' and the 'blue' reflection in the first picture is nice!

Thanks, it was real dirty after 2 weeks of brake dust and driving on the snowy/slushy mountains. Came out nive after the hand-wash.

I noticed what looks like the brake-dust getting on the door panels, this surprised me as I was expecting only dirty rims.

Lucky you, you dont have holes in your front bumper.

My dealership mounted the plates and left caveman screw holes in my bumper.
