Looks amazing. Wish I had the stones to order that color.

I think about 3-4 of us are getting ours this week! Can't wait to hear more in depth what you think of it in the coming weeks, that is, if you ever get out of it! I'm envisioning you google mapping to find every tunnel and garage you can to hear that exhaust.
I got a call earlier this week from my dealer saying, "it's ready today if you can swing it" - I changed all sorts of plans and made my way to the dealer as fast as possible. I honestly didn't think of the color too much when ordering, but find myself slightly self conscious of it's flashiness while in traffic.

I'm excited to hear your reactions after a few days with the car. Coming from a MKVI GTI (and spending a few months waiting with a Toyota Highlander), I'm completely blown away.

I'm taking a road trip through PA this weekend and fully plan to win in battle against 18 wheelers for auditory control of the Allegheny Mountain Tunnel.

I didn't quite believe the others when they said it, but it's impossible not to grin once you hear the engine growl to life when starting the car. I find myself constantly turning off the fantastic Harman Kardon stereo just to hear the exhaust note.

Awesome. I love the color combo you ordered...it's definitely not over-the-top. I also wish I had the stones...

I picked up my car on Tues. I agree 100% about the exhaust. I'll post some pics later.

Congrats bro. Very happy for you. I remember when you said you were watching exhaust vids while you we're waiting an I posted mine for you. Yes bro u can't not smile when you start it. It's great. And I love how sometimes even after its warm when you start it it will still rev up kinda high sometimes which n54s dont do once warm if you listen close you can tell the diff. I sometimes take short vids with my phone an play em back. I'm a dork I know. Sense I didn't have an is I got a dinan exhaust an it's amazing. I need to make a vid of it but can't drive right now as I broke my left foot an had surgery so no clutch action. I think u guys performance exhaust may be louder. The dinan is quite mellow unless wot but its very harmonic and really brings out the beautiful straight 6 pur which is what i was after more than volume and makes great pops an gurgles too. Did you get the black with blue stitch interior?

Great to see so many IS-es popping up and possibly being delivered this and next week! We are turning into quite a sub-group.

Speaking of dorky - my buddies and I went to get my car back in december. We took the video of the cold start, put it on my ipad, then connected it to the wifi surround sound in my house and jacked up the volume. It was the only possible way to make the cold start sound louder than it actually is. hahahaha.

Right now my car is covered in pollen. I'll rinse it off this weekend, but I'm wary about washing while the crap is all in the air and all over because it almost always = swirls, and I'm trying to go as long as possible without doing a full polish on this car.

My leatherz new shift boot and ZHP knob should be here shortly. Pics when it's all installed. I went with the new boot so I wouldn't have to separate the stock knob from it - figured resale would be easier that way, plus I didn't want to mess with it.

I'm surprised by how much I abhor the E82 shift knob. ZHP knob will be like going home.

Lol 2 dorks of a kind. After I make my vids I listen to em n the car and stream em Bluetooth an crank up the Harmon kardon sound to hear it. Love the bass it gives me lol. So u decided to go back with ur zhp knob eh. That's cool they look great too. Never had one so idk how they feel but still enjoying my performance knob. I hear ya about the pollen to bro. Such a pain.

Yea something about the angles just doesn't feel natural to me. I believe the ZHP knob is less weighted so I will see if that means worse feel. We shall see.

I did go black + blue stitch interior.

My dorkyness was streaming the youtube videos of others' 135i (w/ exhaust) & ises through my surround system with the sub-woofer turned to 11. It's a wonder that my neighbors never knocked on my door.

And don't even get me started on pollen - my car has a sheen of greenish yellow because of all of that stuff in the air. Damn trees need to keep it in their pants!

DrFunk... is that LeMans Blue? It's so pretty. I saw that same color on a 328i yesterday and it was very eye catching.

Kitty - don't think you can get lemans blue on a 328. You probably saw Estoril Blue. Not sure how different they are though. Same way I don't know how different lemans blue is from old montego blue, which I almost got my 2008 135i in and looked amazing.

Who needs a 135is when you have a rental corolla...WITH A TOUCH SCREEN!

Beautiful color and nice car. I am always in awe of how good the 135is looks in LeMans Blue. Congratulations and enjoy!

Thanks for the compliments Kitty and Jive

Someone at BMW must really love blue because they keep pumping out beautiful variants.

The touch screen is what makes the Corolla, man - it wasn't even an option on the 135is!

I've had the car for a week - 2013 135i...300 miles so far. Sorry for the crappy phone pics.

2013 135is - Carbon Black, black leather, blue stitching, aluminum trim
DCT
HK audio
Premium pkg
Technology pkg
Heated seats

As you can see from my sig, I'm a former e90 owner. I'm very happy with the e82 so far. Here are some random thoughts...mostly just comparisons to the e90:

IMO, the e82 is sportier to drive than the e90. It feels more planted and tossable in city driving. Maybe that's just because my e90's always had wasted rear tires.

Back seat is useless in e82...just saying.

The DCT is just amazing. I'll never buy another AT or manual for a daily driver.

I notice a little less torque than with the 2010 e90 with Dinan S2. I'll probably add the S2 after break in.

The HK audio is not quite as good as the e90 Premium Hi-Fi.

The exhaust is sportier-sounding than the e90 PE. I love the sounds this thing makes, especially the sound of upshifts at WOT.

Night visibility is not quite as good as the e90 xenons. I could see for miles in the e90 at night.

E82 armrest storage is worthless...seriously, my wallet doesn't even fit in there.

Carbon black is beautiful. Blue stitching is cool, too. I do notice some difference in interior materials. But, none of this is a major disappointment.

Tyler - thanks for the impressions! I agree that several of the materials used in the E82 are not as high quality as they are in any 3 series, which does affect the overall feel of the interior.

Yeah, but it really doesn't feel too cheap, IMO. I was sort of expecting worse...
