Makes you wonder why you bother sometimes

Well I spent around 4 hours on Saturday detailing the car. Thought id get in there whilst it was still 'new' and seal the paint and wheels and make it look super mint. I enjoyed doing it to be fair and its nice knowing that the car is now protected from the weather we've got at the moment. Well it came up better than it did delivered from the factory. The shine doesnt quite come out in the pics but it looked amazing:


































Well today I had to take a trip to Scotland with work. I looked at the forecast before I went and it sounded alright. What I hadnt accounted for was the cr4p all over the roads on the mountain roads......................400 miles later.........................

























I dont know whether to laugh or cry but I sure had fun getting it this dirty!!!

Me too usually. I can get lost in it for hours on end. Only thing is I did 400 miles today and Ive got another 320 to do on Wednesday and another 200 on Friday. Tempted to leave the car like this until the weekend but dont think I can bear it!

At least it's easy to clean when freshly detailed. The paint isn't sticky so the dirt comes right off.

At least you know its protected under all that muck, just blow her off with a stream of water and wait until next weekends detailing therapy.

You're right Greg. I did exactly that. Used a pressure hose to blast the worse off but didnt touch the paint.

Ive done another 600 miles over the last ferw days so its filthy again but Im looking forward to getting stuck in again tomorrow.
