Are you saying that these rotors will be covered under the normal maitnenance during the warranty period? If so, that's pretty damn cool.

Yep! BMW promises those who purchase the first set of either a rotor or bbk will be covered under the normal routine maintenance of the 4yr/50k mile warranty.

Install was a piece of cake. Consisted of removing the tire and 3 bolts. Super easy.

Next on deck...

19 inch 3 piece wheels. ( I am ready to pull the trigger but have not fully decided on which ones yet)

Catback exhaust... Probably will drop off the car at Active in the next few days to have them model one.

Might try out the new Proceed V3 just to see what the hype is all about..

Possibly catted downpipes

I think that pretty much covers everything.

Thoughts?

Wheels are either 360 Forged Split Sevens, Enkreuz Hs10's, Sevas R77 or a new wheel that another forum member is building. We shall see.

Will probably do the DP's first since it will be weeks before AA has an actual production ready exhaust.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I plan on installing these right after I get my 1. That way I won't have to change pads and don't have to mess with rusted bolts

I've been told this numerous times from BMW NA and sat in a meeting back in November to discuss BMW Performance parts. All Air-Intake kits and brakes (because these are maintenance parts) take over the old intake and brakes. BMW has promised to roll these into your 4/50k warranty whenever they need replacing. If you need actual documentation of this, I will give it to you as soon as my rep from BMW NA comes back (he's sick and I've been sending the poor guy 10 e-mails a day).

Your service department may actually tell you that different, because BMW Performance is not something many dealerships are into. However, no one knows warranty better than the service department, but I'd guess you need to tell them ahead of time if you have maintenance performance parts so they can order the parts for your repair (wow run-on sentence much? :biggrin

Angel, what color are your wheels going to be? If black, I'll send you my left-over black roundel stickers that I used on my car if you're interested. Free, of course  I have enough for the wheels, both roundels, and the steering wheel. Bought it from Bimmian probably about 6 months ago

How long did the install take? Did you have to repack bearings or anything?

How do the holes affect pad wear? In the world of machining, my trade, the holes would represent what is called an 'interrupted cut', potentially hammering the cutter, increasing wear to the tool-bit, in the case of drilled rotors, does hammering of the pads occur, thereby shortening the life expectancy of brake pads?
