engine feels smoother after my exhaust mod?

As some may know, I had a 135i axelback installed a week ago. Now I'm not making any power claims here, but I will say, and it is most definitely not placebo, is that the engine feels (and is) smoother going through the revs up top. I'm not talking about the power curve either, or anything to do with power for that matter, but it really feels a lot better. Is it because I'm hearing more and therefore feeling less? Anyone else have an explanation? This is just too noticable to keep to myself! Anybody?

Like undoing your belt after a big meal. I don't think it's a placebo, felt the same thing too.

No it's just the axelback exhaust from a 135i, everything else stock.
