Warning Chime - how to adjust volume?

Hi all,

Just got my 330i M Sport last Friday night. However, due to faulty sat nav pro, it's been back in the garage for 2 days!!

Now the warning chime (for lights left on or low fuel, washer fluid etc) is REALLY LOUD!! compared to the subtle level it was before.

The dealer says "can't be, its not adjustable" How can I turn it down? It frightens me to death when it goes off!!

Your dealer is right...we've hammered this one out in the past, and we've got no choice. The lawyers own the world!

does anyone know how to access the speaker ?

or has anyone figured out which fuse number it is to disable ?

I was going to pull each fuse out this weekend to see when it stops - but would rather just disconnect the speaker...

Mine freaked out and got loud and scratchy. The dealer disabled the speaker while they ordered me a new instrument cluster. Now I won't authorize them to change it.

No chime is great, but I can't hear my turn signals either!

My chime seems to come out of the hifi speakers for sure.

Another lesser model I've driven did sound like a small speaker in the dash, but mine definitely comes from the hifi speakers, same as the sat nav voice and voice commands.

I have the hifi speaker system and sat nav pro with voice and BT.

It's back in the dealers again today (2nd time in a week from new) as the nav map is still not working.

I don't get any chime, or warning in the dash, if I leave my main Lights on, and leave the car - Not impressed.

I notice I have left the lights on, and turn them off, I then do get a brief warning light. - pretty stupid
