BMW fuel system cleaner?
Has anyone tried it? My car was just serviced at the deal for a low fuel pressure sensor. Drove it for a week or two and now Im running a "Fuel Pump Plausibility" Code and having a bit of hesitation in 1st and 2nd but only when cold.
Did a bit of research and I kept hearing about cleaning the injectors. Any thoughts? |

BMW recommends using fuel from one of the suppliers based on the list maintained here: http://www.toptiergas.com/. If you don't, they recommend periodic use of an added cleaner. They don't make a big deal out of this, but I did find it out from a brochure at a BMW dealership's waiting room. Based on the cost of the periodic use of cleaner, any price difference from using one of the recommended suppliers pretty much disappears, if not making them come out cheaper.

I also use the Lubro Moly Jectron and valve clean. I put a can of each in the tank once a month. With DI the valve clean probably does nothing, but I put it in anyways.
