Euro spec headlight conversion

Just wondering if this has been done. I have been considering purchasing euro spec 135i/128i headlights (Just the housings) and swap all the hardware and bulbs from my headlights.

My whole reason for doing so was to achieve clear corners as opposed to the U.S spec amber corners and I much rather not open my headlights to paint the housings.

Would this require any additional work asides from simply swapping everything over to the euro spec headlights?

My U.S spec

The image you have is Pre-Lce (just for e87 spec) headlights. There are differences, so seek Lci for e87, and regular for e82 in euro spec. e82 came as a LCI look for e87

Swapping internals of headlights may be tricky, i dont think you can avoid opening the headlights. So buying xenon euro units is best

You may be better off paying the same amount of cash to have your US housings custom modded. The corner can pe painted silver and the angel eyes upgraded.

Also, if you are to spend you are better off with getting Euro e82 LCI headlights, the ones with the white eyebrow.

The headlamp assemblies are not able to be opened as you describe. New Euro headlamp assemblies from BMW are approx $1,200 each side. Your car will no longer be DOT and NHTSA compliant in the US. In Canada, you can be legal with the Euro headlamp assembly.

You can get the same look for way cheaper. I have spyder headlights. Once I change out the turn signal bulbs with the clear ones (but they blink amber) my headlights will be completely clear! I'll be putting pics up this week hopefully.
