BMW Performance Aluminum Pedal Set Install Help

I received this kit today:

The accelerator pedal came with a drilling template, nuts, and bolts which is pretty straight forward.

The accelerator pedal however had an adhesive back on it and three holes. The 4th hole, lower right, had a dummy screw in it. This also came with three machine screws.

am I supposed to stick this on and then pre-drill for the machine screws or do they thread (self-drill) through the existing plastic pedal? If pre-drill what size drill bit?

Stick it on then once it is secure use a very small bit for a pilot hole so that the self tapping screws go in straight.
